Why you should vote for Pastor Woodard

A. Pastor Woodard (what my Mama was calling me when God transitioned her to rest in 2004) has a vision for the long-term future of the City of Mobile. 

B. A vision that looks for a greater City of Mobile that incorporates all the communities and some of the existing Municipalities within the central metropolitan area of Mobile County into A Greater One Mobile. Where the segregationist mindsets, be they social economical or racial are replaced by a collective or communal mindset. See below the bold move made by the people Jacksonville and the Florida legislature in 1968.

C. A vision that would see coordinated efforts to prevent lawlessness and criminal activities in the city. To ensure community safety and peace of mind.

• Using technology and a greater police presence as a deterrent to lawlessness and criminal behavior,
• Initiatives affirming full support for law enforcement personnel,  
• Increased law enforcement personnel recruitment efforts, 
• Providing competitive pay and benefits,  
• 100% 150% support of officer actions that align with department guidelines, 
• Encouraging law enforcement personnel actions to root out and remove suspected criminals from our communities.  
• Initiatives to increase educational opportunities for the incarcerated
  • Encouraging local university, colleges and trade schools to increase or start course offerings for the incarcerated
  • Pushing for reduced prison time for incarcerated person who start and complete skill and education course while incarceration

D. A vision that ensures that other city public safety and services teams maintain their high standards of service. 

• With regularity as appropriate, acknowledgement of their achievements, collectively and individually
• Ensure that they have competitive pay and benefits 
• Providing a safe and secure workplace with open-door policies and procedures to keep it that way. 

E. A vision that continues to promote Mobile around the world as a great city to live in and do business 

F. A vision that has the city reacquiring Ladd Stadium with Corporate Sponsors committed to its upgrade or transition to a state-of-the-art multiuse stadium. Why?

1. The grounds have proved to be an almost perfect environment for tailing and parking for all events.
2. When was there an issue, or incident at a Ladd Stadium event that involved the citizens that live near to the stadium? I cannot recall one, but to the contrary, many of the event attendees have use the additional community-based parking without incident.
